Disseminate its teachings through reader study groups, publications, social activities, and conferences. 3. Develop teachers and leaders for the dissemination of the teachings of The Urantia Book. UAI does not express opinions or take positions on political, social, or economic issues and does not identify itself with any nationality, race, or religion. We do encourage our members, as individuals, to become active and influential members of social, moral, economic, and political groups. UAI is not a church or an organized religion. We do not compete with any faith or religion. UAI welcomes people of all faiths, races, and nationalities. We seek spiritual fellowship among all people of this world. True religion is the personal spiritual experience of each individual. UAI is a group endeavour by religionists who study The Urantia Book and are inspired by its revelatory teachings; people who wish to cooperate with all other religionists to achieve the spiritual, social, and moral regeneration of this world. UAI members come from many different religions and cultures and have a personal relationship with God that is inspired by The Urantia Book. The teachings of The Urantia Book call upon all people to share spiritual unity, not uniformity, meaning that while our beliefs may differ, our faith and destiny are the same. As a member of UAI, readers of The Urantia Book can get involved in world changing activities and enhance their own personal growth. UAI provides service opportunities that put your personal skills and talents to use for what we believe is the most important project for our world today –“…to reveal God to the individual man as his Father--to lead this individual man to become son-conscious; then to present this same man to God as his faith son”. [The Urantia Book, Paper 141:7, p.1593:5] We wish to especially encourage young people to become part of our association so that, while serving to bring peace on earth and goodwill to man, they may develop skills and talents needed for their own life and the opportunities that come their way. The watchwords of UAI are teamwork and service. How Is UAI Organized? UAI is an organization of national and local associations of Urantia Book readers from around the world. Local associations have at least ten full members and national associations have at least 30 full members. A Representative council (RC), comprised of the Presidents and Vice Presidents of all the national associations, acts as the legislative branch of UAI. The International Service Board (ISB) functions as the executive branch and conducts the daily business of UAI. The ISB is comprised of a governing board and committees for Dissemination, Study Groups, Education, Communications, Translations, Membership, Conferences, and Charter and Bylaws. A reader of The Urantia Book who wants to serve will join UAI at the local level and through that local association become a member of the national and international levels of the organization. A person may become a Member-At-Large if no local or national association exists in their area. UAI is a grass roots organization. The RC, the ISB, and the national associations of UAI provide support and guidance to the local associations whose members accomplish the real work of UAI. UAI currently has 10 national Associations and 44 Local Associations with members and friends located in 56 countries around the world.
